For more information on the Claremore club, click on the Claremore link on the left. The Chess Adventure Claremore Club began in the Fall of 2004. The club was organized to meet the needs of students K-12 who attend Christian schools, who are home schooled, or who attend area schools that do not already offer a chess club. Some current members have been with the club for all four years. Ages range from 4 to 14. Over the last four years, Chess Adventure parents, organizers and chess volunteers have become involved in additional activities including the John 3:16 Chess Club, Chess Adventure Summer Chess Camp and Hardesty Chess with the Champs.
The benefits of chess are tremendous whether you play seriously in tournaments or simply for enjoyment. Chess develops critical thinking skills, memory, creativity, discipline and sportsmanship. For more information, contact Julie Luscomb (
